and lessons with former Brown University and AHL player, Dave Stevenson, and continues to give clinics and private lessons for strength conditioning, hockey skills, and power skating.
Chris also studied and taught basic skills figure skating with teaching pro Julie Sutphin. He’s completed Skate America’s programs in Basic Skills, Power Skating, and Free Style I. He believes passionately that proper technique and strong skating skills are the foundation for both figure skating and great hockey.
Chris’ career came full circle in 1999 with the opening of Dr. Blade Skate Care at the BIG Arena. His shop reflects his philosophy: service to assure that every customer gets the right skate, with the proper fit, and a quality sharpening.
